July 30, 2019, was a milestone for Subaru of America — it marked the two-millionth sale of the iconic Subaru Forester.
The Forester debuted in 1997, providing drivers with the rugged capability and versatility of an SUV with the compact size and comfortable ride of a sedan. The Forester hit the one-million sales mark in 2013, 16 years after it first came on the scene. It only took six more years for it to sell one million more models.
When you consider the Forester’s impressive performance and numerous awards, it’s easy to see why Subaru has been able to move two million Foresters. The Forester has earned recognition from industry experts, including the Motor Trend SUV of the Year award in 2009 and 2014. Better yet, the Forester has been an Insurance Institute for Highway Safety Top Safety Pick for 13 years running. In addition to its safety, the Forester is reliable — 97 percent of Foresters sold in the last decade are still on the road today.
With each passing year, the Forester keeps getting better. The all-new 2019 Forester comes standard with Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive, and the award-winning EyeSight Driver Assist Technology, which includes Adaptive Cruise Control and Pre-Collision Braking.
