For the past four years, Subaru and the LLS have dedicated themselves to donating simple comforts to cancer patients, reaching more and more each year. The two organizations provide items like blankets, hopeful messages, art kits, and various other thoughtful gifts. In the past three years, Subaru Loves to Care – which is the health-focused area of the Subaru Love Promise philanthropy project – has connected with over 100,000 patients across 700 hospitals. The initiative has been supported and made possible by over 500 Subaru retailers across the country, as visitors and customers at dealerships are the ones who write the personalized messages of hope and support for cancer patients in their community.
June is “Subaru Loves to Care” month, a time during which the automaker demonstrates its commitment to positively impacting the community and helping others. This past June, Subaru partnered with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) for the fourth year in a row, spreading hope, love, warmth, and good cheer to cancer patients nationwide.
Alongside donating 43,000 blankets and 9,500 art kits during this past June, Subaru collected stories and photographs of recipients, which serve as a reminder of the project’s remarkable impact and all the good the Subaru community can accomplish in the lives of cancer patients.
If you want to be a part of the initiative, pay a visit to Subaru of Pembroke Pines and ask a member of staff how you can get involved.
